Financing a motion picture project is difficult. It's hard for investors and contributors to visualize the final product or the fiscal and emotional return. Yet, advertisers (who promote hard products), and opinion leaders (who promote ideas and soft products) understand how narrative media is able to emotionally and quickly connect with large audiences and prodigiously deliver a consistent and well-refined message .
For such reasons the media industry is a trillion dollar enterprise, and funding for a project comes from a wide variety of sources, with two rarely being the same.
